Los Angeles, California – March 10, 2022 – CARE CANNABIS AWARENESS, RESEARCH, AND ECONOMICS, a California-based 501(c) non-profit C.A.R.E., is presenting an important international event inspired by the Summit of the Americas in Los Angeles June 5-6, 2022 at Green Street DTLA.
The 2-day event, The State of Cannabis in the Americas, will connect cannabis business and policy leaders and provide invaluable opportunities for attendees to interact with government representatives and heads of member institutions to discuss political, economic, and social issues impacting the cannabis industry. The issues discussed at this cannabis-focused event will include regional and global environmental concerns, along with other issues impacting access, sustainability, governance, and equity in the cannabis marketplace.
The Summits of the Americas are institutionalized gatherings of the heads of states and governments of the Western Hemisphere where recognized leaders discuss common policy issues, affirm shared values, and commit to concerted actions at the regional and national level to address continuing and new challenges faced in the Americas.
The issues relating to cannabis touch on all of these goals, including environmental, social, and governance issues and the policies required to address and meet the needs of our global citizens.
Susan Soares, Founder, and CEO of C.A.R.E. said “In these divided times, one thing most people can agree on is that the burgeoning cannabis industry looks to be a lifeline, not only in terms of economics but in health and social justice. We are proud to be showcasing ways cannabis can be the glue to our hemisphere including companies, people, laws, and governments that are “Building a Sustainable, Resilient, and Equitable Future”.
Participants in the event can expect to network with the Who’s Who, What, and Where of cannabis including company CEOs paving the road to sustainability, lawyers, regulators and governments that have best practices for legislation, and pioneering leaders that have proven resilient in the pursuit of equitable outcomes, including C.A.R.E.
