CANNABIS CENTER OF EXCELLENCE AND PATRIOTS HELPING VETS ANNOUNCE THE LAUNCH OF AN ICOUNT FOR VETERANS RESEARCH STUDY WITH EN-TRANCED – ORAL THC SPRAY

(BOSTON, MA – 8/10/2023) – The Cannabis Center of Excellence and Patriots Helping Vets (PHV) announce pre-enrollment for a new iCount for Veterans Massachusetts research study launching September 1, 2023 with the En-Tranced Dry Mist Oral Cannabis Sprays. The En-tranced Oral Mist Cannabis Spray is designed to spray measured amounts of cannabis in the mouth, with fast onset of action, and limited impact on the lungs. This fast and discreet way of consuming cannabis is well suited for those with medical conditions or adult-use consumers.

iCount for Veterans, led by the Cannabis Center of Excellence, is a platform connecting veterans with cannabis innovations to assess their impact on quality of life and other key outcomes. Since June 2022, 235 veterans have joined the iCount research studies. The top conditions veterans report using medical cannabis for include: 46% anxiety, 42% depression, 37% PTSD, and 34% chronic pain. Among the 113 veterans who reported taking prescription medications, 62% indicated that they use cannabis to reduce the use of their prescription medications.  Further, 75% of all the veterans reporting, indicated that cannabis helps them have a greater or much greater quality of life.

Veterans residing in Massachusetts will be able to access iCount Research Study En-tranced Dry Mist Oral THC Sprays at select locations in MA starting on September 1, 2023. Veterans that are interested in joining the En-tranced research study can pre-enroll for the study here: www.cannacenterofexcellence.org/entranced

“The En-tranced Oral THC mist is an exciting technology that has the potential to be a valuable method of ingesting cannabis for Veterans, medical patients, and adult use consumers alike. I am excited to launch this new research study on the iCount for Veterans platform.” Dr. Marion McNabb, Cannabis Center of Excellence.

“Patriots Helping Vets is looking forward to seeing the beneficial results of this study so we can further help our brothers and sisters who have suffered lung trauma caused by burn pits and other lung-endangering traumas. We believe this will be the first step in the right direction of providing access for not only Veterans, but to any cannabis consumer who isn’t able or who isn’t willing to inhale cannabis.” Tom Rand, Patriots Helping Vets.

“The En-tranced oral spray mist technology was designed to provide rapid, absorption, high bioavailability, dose control and discrete use capability without involvement of lung tissue or the gastrointestinal tract.  This dosage form was designed for patients looking to conveniently incorporate their therapy into their daily routine. I believe that this product could have helped my father, who was awarded a Bronze Star during the Vietnam War, with his end-of-life care. We are pleased to be working with such respected organizations as the Cannabis Center of Excellence and Patriots Helping Vets in studying this novel dosage form with the veteran population” said Laura Stephens, President of En-tranced, Inc.

Veterans will be able to access iCount for Vets En-tranced THC mist at select MA locations on September 1, 2023. Veterans can pre-enroll in the study here: www.cannacenterofexcellence.org/entranced
